Tottenham Hotspur has once again expressed interest in acquiring a `world-class` forward, a player Thomas Frank had already approved for signing during the summer transfer window.
Frank bolstered his attacking line last summer with the arrival of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, and the 25-year-old has become a pivotal player this season, contributing one goal and five assists in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, questions have arisen regarding the performances of certain existing players. Journalist Andreas Vou, in particular, criticized the decision to sign Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert, suggesting the club should have focused on one significant attacking acquisition instead.
The pair were benched during Sunday`s 3-0 victory over Everton, having managed only one top-flight goal between them this season, prompting the Lilywhites to now pursue another new forward.
This comes from a report out of Spain, indicating that Tottenham has now shown interest in signing Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo, whom the La Liga club has put up for sale ahead of the January transfer window.
Kubo is anticipated to depart Real Sociedad this winter, potentially paving the way for a move to N17, and it`s believed he could be available for a relatively modest fee of €40 million (£35 million).

Manchester United and Everton are also competing for the winger`s signature, and there are indications that Frank remains keen, having previously approved a move during the summer transfer window.
The Japanese forward is undeniably highly talented, as evidenced by praise from former Barcelona boss Xavi, who once stated: “Takefusa Kubo is a world-class footballer. Not just with the ball, but also without it.“
The 24-year-old has also impressed periodically over the last year, notably with his dribbling prowess, ranking in the 94th percentile for successful take-ons per 90 minutes when compared to other attacking midfielders and wingers.
Nevertheless, concerns might arise regarding the Japan international`s recent performances, as he has only scored one goal for Real Sociedad in La Liga this season and failed to register a single assist.
Kubo might simply require a fresh start in a new league, having played in La Liga since the 2019-20 campaign. A move to Tottenham could therefore be ideal, though his current form suggests he would be a somewhat risky acquisition.
