Milevski’s Team: Undefeated in Qualifiers

Under Blagoja Milevski, the team’s qualification campaign has been remarkably successful so far: they remain undefeated in all four qualifying matches. Even their draws are understandable; they’ve already faced group favorites Wales and Belgium (both ending 1:1). These results are far from disastrous, especially considering the high odds for a draw in those home fixtures (3.17 and 4.91 respectively). Crucially, they secured away victories against Liechtenstein (3:0) and Kazakhstan (1:0).

Liechtenstein’s Road Woes

If the Liechtenstein national team struggles to put up a fight even on their home turf, what can be expected from them on the road? So far, in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, they’ve played only one away game, against Wales. Unsurprisingly, it ended in a loss, though not an overwhelmingly large one (0:3). In official matches, excluding the Nations League, their narrowest defeat was against Bosnia and Herzegovina in September 2023 (1:2). Generally, against teams of a higher caliber, they have suffered nine defeats and managed two draws, with Over 2.5 goals occurring in eight of those encounters.

Historical Dominance and Anticipated Outcome

A similar pattern is expected to play out this Sunday, especially considering North Macedonia was part of Liechtenstein’s challenging run: in March 2021, they convincingly defeated them 5:0 in Skopje. Given their previous encounter and current form, I anticipate an even higher total for this upcoming match.
